Nevada State Medical Association 122nd Annual Meeting and Scientific Session

August 21-23, 2026 I The M Resort

Be the Voice for Your Fellow Physicians at the NSMA 2026 Annual Meeting

Now is the optimal time to begin drafting and submitting policy resolutions for consideration by the CCMS Delegation to the NSMA House of Delegates this summer.

Be a Part of the Solution. Be a CCMS Delegate.

The challenges facing healthcare are complex and ever-evolving, demanding a collective voice from dedicated physicians and healthcare professionals. As healthcare costs rise, access to care becomes more limited, and new technologies emerge, it’s crucial to have a seat at the table where decisions are made.

By becoming a CCMS Delegate, you can be that voice. You can be the one who advocates for your fellow physicians, your patients, and the future of healthcare in Clark County.

CCMS is entitled to the following delegate seats:

Delegates – 16 and Alternate Delegates – 16
Student Delegates – 2 and Alternate Student Delegates – 2
Resident Delegates – 2 and Alternate Residents- 2

Why This Matters Now

The NSMA House of Delegates is the primary vehicle for organized medicine to shape statewide policy and advocacy priorities. Across the country, state legislatures are actively addressing issues that directly affect:

  •  Physician practice autonomy
  • Administrative burden
  • Payment and prior authorization delays
  • Workforce shortages
  • Emerging risks from artificial intelligence and corporate consolidation

Early preparation ensures CCMS has a strong, coordinated voice in shaping NSMA priorities.

If I sign up as a delegate, what happens next? Does it cost anything?
  • As a CCMS Delegate, you will attend three preparatory meetings to discuss resolutions to submit to the House of Delegates at the annual meeting. Meetings will be held in April, May, and June 2025, and will be held via Zoom.
  • Delegates must attend the 2026 NSMA Annual Meeting from Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada

  • CCMS Delegates are responsible for the meeting registration, travel, and hotel accommodations. Please visit https://nvdoctors.og/membership/events to book your room online with the discounted NSMA room block.

Can I attend the Annual Meeting if I am not a delegate?

YES, you can and should for the following reasons:

  • Network with people who coordinate efforts for all legislative medicine-related issues dealing with tort reform and regulatory issues that affect physicians daily.
  • Voice your opinions and give valuable input as to the mission and purpose of our organization.
  • Exchange ideas with physicians from throughout the state about many topics, from problems with hospitals or insurance companies to public health issues.
What is a resolution?

A resolution is a formal expression of opinion, or a motion voted on by NSMA members to determine NSMA’s policies and priorities. Here’s a sample resolution for your reference.
